Darlene L. Hepperly, 98, of Concordia, KS, died on January 21, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family. She will be missed, but we're sure she is happy to be reunited with her husband and one true love, Rich.
Darlene, the youngest of six children, was born November 21, 1925, in Charter Oak, Iowa to Minnie and Carl Bahle. She graduated from Fremont High School, Fremont, Nebraska in 1943, and from Clarkson College, Omaha Nebraska as a registered nurse in 1946. She worked as a surgical nurse in Fremont, Omaha and Lincoln, Nebraska.

Bette Grace Tucker, 75

Bette Grace Tucker, 75, of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away Sunday, November 19, 2023. Bette was born August 24, 1948 to Grace and Bernard Underwood in Lincoln, NE. After graduating from Northeast High School in 1966, she went on to study nursing at Bryan and at Nebraska Wesleyan where she earned her BS.N. She then earned her master's degree in nursing at Clarkson College.

Belinda Sue "Suz" Wills ('94)

Belinda Sue "Suz" Wills passed away at home in Plattsmouth, Nebraska, on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at the age of 58. Her commitment to caring for others led her to complete a Registered Nursing degree from Clarkson College in 1994. Her entire career was spent in healthcare, where she was able to pursue her passion for helping people. Belinda was also an advocate for mental health awareness and education. Abby Rebecca Olberding Tribute

It is with deep sadness that Clarkson College acknowledges the loss of one of our own, Ms. Abby Rebecca Olberding. Abby graduated from the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program in the fall of 2022 with an Associate of Science degree in PTA, and recently participated in the 2023 graduation ceremony. She was a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) Honor Society, and a member of the Clarkson College Student Physical Therapist Assistant Association. Abby Rebecca Olberding, age 24, of Omaha, NE, and formerly of Carroll, IA, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, due to injuries suffered in an auto accident in Omaha, NE.

Rev. Ellen "Ellie" Thober Tribute

Rev. Ellen "Ellie" Thober, 74, of Papillion, Nebraska, (formerly of Columbus, Nebraska), died Thursday, September 14, 2023. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1966. Ellie earned a nursing degree from Clarkson College in 1969, a Bachelor of Arts from Doane College, and a Master of Divinity from Virginia Theological Seminary.

Nancy (Frisbie) Rossean passed away peacefully on August 25, 2023, in Valley, NE at the age of 92. After Nancy graduated from Elgin High School, she moved to Omaha to attend Clarkson College of Nursing.

Angela "Angie" Marie Scott ('07) Tribute and Note

Angie Scott passed away on September 29, 2022, at the age of 44. Angie was a true healer, known for her touch, spirituality and calming energy. 

At her passing, a brick was purchased in her honor for the Clarkson Service League Heritage Garden.  The funds received through this unique giving opportunity are applied to the Alumni Endowed Scholarship Fund.

Linda Jeanne Miller ('64) Tribute and Note
Linda Jeanne Miller passed away on Monday, May 20, 2019, at the age of 75.  Linda loved her time at Clarkson College and the many friends' memories she made there. 

At her passing, Linda left a gift to the College.  This gift is given in honor of the class of 1964 and in memory of Bonnie Kirstein Duffy and Linda Plattner.

Nadine Fern Dunker

Nadine Dunker (Ashce '54) Tribute
Nadine Fern (Asche) Dunker, of Bennington, NE passed away peacefully in Omaha, NE on June 5, 2020.  She grew up on a farm near Leigh with her four brothers and graduated from Leigh High School in 1947.  Nadine went on to attend Bishop Clarkson Memorial School of Nursing. She was crowned Miss Clarkson and graduated in 1954 with a Nursing Diploma. After graduation, she began her career as a Registered Nurse at Memorial Hospital in Schuyler, NE.

Frances Faye Anderson (Rosicky '64) Note
Frances and her husband, Russell, reside in Papillion, NE and have been married for 56 years.  Frances and Russell have two married daughters and three grandchildren.  She is active with the Papillion Senior Singer 55+ Club and a volunteer member of her choir.

Marcia was pleased to share through the COVID-19 virus and shutdown, many member of the 1965 Class have been able to communicate throughe email or text.  "We were a small, close class of 28.  This year we had sad news of the passing of some of our classmates.  But, we also shared good news of new grandchildren or pats, exciting travel experiences, new or old hobbies, and Faith to get through.  One thing we all have in common was our retirement.  And we honor those Health Care students still in school and those Health Care Providers presently working.  Your sacrifices cannot be counted."
