CARES Act Emergency Grant

The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act became law on March 27, 2020. The CARES Act established and funded the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) to provide emergency funding to higher education institutions. At least half of each institution’s allocations must be awarded to students in the form of emergency financial aid grants for expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to the COVID-19 crisis. The other half can be used by the institution to cover any costs associated with significant changes to the delivery of instruction due to the coronavirus. The CARES Act requires Clarkson College to report information on its website.

US Department of Education

Campus Parking Refund Option

UNMC Parking is offering students prorated refunds for parking permit holders. The refund may differ slightly depending upon the type of parking permit purchased. Refunds available range based on the number of months left on the permit up to $90.

How do I obtain a prorated refund for my parking permit?

Call UNMC Parking Services for a refund via phone at 402-559-8580.

What do I do with my parking permit once I have canceled the service?

Students must remove it from their vehicle and dispose of the permit once the service has been canceled.

What if I need to park on campus after I have canceled my permit?

UNMC Parking Services monitors the Clarkson College parking lots. If a vehicle is parked on the Clarkson College campus without a valid permit through the month of May there will be no parking fees. After that the vehicle may be towed per UNMC Parking policy. Students will receive notifications through their Clarkson College email account as updates are made to this website.
