Jessica Niemann, P.T.A., MEd

Program Director & Instructor

Jessica Niemann is the director and an instructor for the Clarkson College Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program. Her teaching experience includes pathophysiology, professional leadership seminar, clinical courses and selected labs in the AS PTA program, as well as clinical leadership and practice integration courses in the BS PTA program.

Ms. Niemann is also a proud alumna of the Clarkson College PTA program. She graduated with her Associate’s degree in PTA in 1999 and Bachelor of Science in Health Care Services degree in 2016. She received her Master's degree in Education for Curriculum and Instruction at Concordia University in 2019. 

Before joining the PTA program as an instructor in summer 2015, Ms. Niemann worked at Creighton University Medical Center in the outpatient and inpatient physical therapy settings as a PTA for 15 years. She is a certified Clinical Instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and also served as the Education Coordinator of the physical therapy department during the latter eight years.

Ms. Niemann is passionate about the PTA profession and continually works to elevate PTA practice. When not at the workplace, Ms. Niemann spends much of her time outdoors. She enjoys going to the pool, jogging, reading, baking and playing in the backyard with her family.
