Environmental Wellness

The ability to recognize our own responsibility for the quality of the air, the water and the land that surrounds us. The capacity to make a positive impact on the quality of our environment, be it our homes, our communities or our planet contributes to our Environmental Wellness.

Tips for optimal environmental wellness

  • When possible, Reduce waste or waste products that cannot be recycled
  • Adopt Reusable items over disposable items (coffee mug, plates vs single use items)
  • Recycle products: from plastics and cans to paper bags and batteries
  • Conserve water, electricity and other resources
  • Minimize chemical use.
  • Stop junk mail
  • Bike or walk to school or work
  • Carpool with classmates or coworkers
  • Turn off electronics when not in use
  • Get involved: trash pickup, highway cleanup among others.

Clarkson College is dedicated to exploring ways to introduce and support sustainability efforts on campus and in the Community. 

Campus efforts are focused towards:
